New School Season at Fregenet School

September 24, 2012

Dear friends and funders,

Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat School just started up the new school season on September 13, 2012. The school accepted 30 new fresh-faced kindergarten students as part of our ongoing effort to reach deep down into the lowest economic level families in the neighborhood.

Giving children skills, the sense of possibility as well as mental and nutritional sustenance provides them the opportunity of making a huge difference in their lives and the lives of their families. We trust that the existence of Fregenet School provides a model that sends a message to other communities that this sort of commitment is useful and sustainable.

The total number of students at our school now is 275; up significantly from the 30 kids we started with just a short eight years ago. We\’re proud of our grass roots success story and our shared commitment to a population of children who deserve a fighting chance to make a better future for themselves. But we are keenly aware that everything we do depends on the kindness and dedication of people such as yourselves who refuse to turn away from the children we seek to serve.

As always, our deepest appreciations to all of you. On behalf of the children at Fregenet School, thank you!
