Dear Friends and Supporters:
The former manager of the non-profit entity of Fregenet School, w/o Fanataye Awash has departed from the school due to personal reasons. Though we regret her departure immensely, we are very grateful to the dedicated service she gave during her stay with us.
But we are excited to share the news that a new manager, Ato Tenagne Bayeh Taye has been hired and has assumed full responsibility effective January 9, 2015.
Ato Tenagne, who began his career as a teacher, enrolled in Addis Ababa University after serving the National Education System for more than 6 years. Ato Tenagne also had the opportunity to visit Leads University (United Kingdom) for a postgraduate study majoring in Transport Economics.
Upon graduating with a degree in Economics, he spent his entire career in different government institutions in various areas of planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects. In his last assignment as a government employee at the Ministry of Capacity Building, he managed and coordinated the nationwide University Reform Program whose focus was the creation of qualified manpower in the field of engineering.
Having retired from his governmental positions, Ato Tenagne has agreed to take on the manager position in charge of both the non-profit and the school at Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat. Some of his main tasks will be to seek out new opportunities for fundraising in Addis Ababa, balance the books and handle all financial matters, meet with the local board, and oversee the health of both the school and the umbrella funding organization.
Please join the board and school staff of FKL, in welcoming Ato Tenagne Bayeh to his latest leadership position as he joins us in offering hope, changing lives, and championing the potential of FKL school’s students.
Thank you very much
