Dear Abernethy Friends,
Imagine my delight when my good friend and board member, Chris Kurtz gave me the news that your school would be doing a fundraiser to benefit Fregenet School again this year! And now while I am doing some school activities here in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, I have been informed that your efforts have raised over $1500!
This is a big, big deal for a school such as the Fregenet School. And we will make every dollar count. We supply everything that the students here need in order to be successful including breakfast and lunch! Your dollars will help pay for food, but it will do even more than that. The money you raised will help buy books for the library, books for the classroom, paper, pencils, and balls for the playground. And if we find out that a student needs something else within our budget, we will even buy that.
Thanks to everyone at your school. You showed that you cared about people beyond your walls, beyond your community who need your help. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts and I\’m sure, if they could, the children at the Fregenet school would each thank you in person themselves.
