The Fregenet Foundation is seeking both runners and sponsors for the March 17 and March 18, 2012, Los Angeles Marathon and 5K runs. There are needy children in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia who need your support.
Ethiopia and elite marathon running are connected in the minds of many. How appropriate then that the Fregenet Foundation is one of the local charities officially designated by the LA Marathon officials. Currently, foundation officials are making calls to encourage runners and sponsors to sign up for a meaningful cause. We encourage you to choose ours by participating in the run or lending your support to the event.
Several runners have already signed on to run and to raise funds for the foundation and it would be an honor to include you! To sign up for the 5K or the Marathon, follow the instructions on the Los Angeles Marathon website and be sure to select The Fregenet Foundation from the charities listed on the registration form. Remember, if running the 26.2 miles is too much of a challenge for you this year, you can make just as much of a difference by participating in the 5K run.
And if you can\’t make it to run, for whatever reason, making a donation is easy! Just fill out the sponsorship form on our website or mail a check to the address listed here. And don\’t worry; the runners will do the hard part for you.
