It\’s that time again! The LA Marathon is a couple of months away and it is not too late to start training, especially for the 5K. The Los Angeles Marathon run is on Sunday March 18, 2012 but the 5K is a day earlier on Saturday March 17, 2012.
As you may remember one of the foundation\’s missions is to Connect Ethiopian students with students of other countries through sport, music and other cultural exchange programs. This year, Synergy Quantum Academy High School students here in Los Angeles will be running the 5K on March 17, 2012 to support our cause and create a relationship between our school and this charter school students.
The Veteran runners of The Fregenet Foundation, Asmeret Mebatsion, Hezkeal Ayele, Elizabeth Asrat and Tafesse Woubshet are already signed up for the March 18 Marathon event among the new runners, Teresa Garcia, Renee Green, Alvin Fong and Francis Miyamoto
Join us! If running the 26.2 miles is too much, consider the 5K (3 miles) run or walk. You can also support our cause by sponsoring the runners.
