The Fregenet Foundation, The Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat School and our students wish you a happy holiday season and a healthy and prosperous new year.
2008 has been a great year for the Foundation, the School and our students. We have accomplished many of the objectives that we outlined for the year despite our limited resources. Slowly and surely, we are marching forward!
As we wrap up the year’s achievements, we are excited to announce the opening of the new school library in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, on January 3, 2009. The library is now furnished, complete with books on the shelves and computers on the desks. This exciting new learning center will benefit not only our students, but the surrounding neighborhood community. The library’s opening will coincide with the School’s annual Children’s Day celebration.
Please stay tuned for more information regarding the opening of the new library and for the Foundation’s Annual Report, for a full summary of the Foundation’s and the School’s activities in 2008, along with the Foundation’s annual financial reports.
The Foundation’s progress in 2008 was made possible by our friends and donors. Many of you have stood beside the Foundation since its inception and have donated not only money but also your good will and your time. You have campaigned and spread the good word for the Foundation’s mission and the benefit of our students. Whatever the nature of your contribution, we sincerely thank you. In the years ahead, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment and assures you that we will work ever more diligently to bring real change and hope to the lives and families of the needy children of Ethiopia.
Thanks again for your support and contributions and best wishes for the holiday season and for 2009.
Tafesse Woubshet, President
