Happy Ethiopian New Year

September 10. 2019

Dear Friends,

A brand-new year is once again upon us. This coming Thursday, on September 12, 2019, Ethiopians from around the world will celebrate the start of their New Year, 2012, which, according to the Ethiopian Orthodox Calendar heralds the ‘Year of St. John.’ In the traditions of the Church, this is seen as equivalent to peace, blessings and bountifulness.

For us at the Fregenet Foundation, this is an opportunity to be thankful for all the blessings of the past year, take stock of all our achievements, and learn from the challenges. At the same time, we take this auspicious moment to restate our commitment to our students, their parents, all our staff, and supporters that we will continue to work hard to meet the noble goals we set for the year. 2012 is a year to start afresh, to begin with more vigor and dedication, and step forward to new and exciting ventures.

We wish all of you, dear friends and supporters, a Happy Ethiopian New Year. Let’s embrace the new year with a sense of optimism and a promise of success and triumph.

 With all our best wishes

 The Fregenet Foundation
